Our standard heavy duty wooden five bar agricultural/rural farm field gates with diamond cross bracing are of solid construction using tanalised pressure treated timber from renewable european sources for long life, durability and kindness to the environment. Each gate leaf stands at 3ft 7 inches in height to top rail and is ordered either to be hung from a left hand hanging post or right hand. We supply a variety of widths of gate leaf that can be bought to be hung individually or in pairs of equal or varying sizes to produce either a double leaf vehicular access or a pedestrain and vehicle access arrangement. We stock for next day delivery or collection, both left and right hand gates in the following widths : 3ft, 4ft, 5ft, 6ft, 7ft, 8ft, 9ft, 10ft,11ft and 12ft.
As well as the standard traditional 5 bar farm gate, we also stock a slightly more decorative field gate often favoured for individual driveways in many rural and urban settings. Our “Estate” five bar field gate is constructed from tanalised pressure treated timber, again from renewable sources but differs from the standard wooden farm gate in that the hanging rail is extended in height and curved with a single cross bracing section running diagonally from the head of the curved hanging rail across the entire gate leaf (5ft wide leafs and above). Further vertical and diagonal braces ensure a tough and durable construction to this decorative field gate. The smaller version of this gate (3ft and 4ft) is as a standard field gate with curved and extended hanging rail but without the large diagonal cross bracing. As with the traditional farm field gate these gates are supplied left handed or right handed in all sizes from 3ft through to 12ft to allow for any pattern of vehicular, pedestrian or mixed access. Height to top rail on this gate model is 3feet and 3 1/2 inches.
Our top of the range 5 bar field gate is the “Blenheim” field/estate gate. This is constructed as per our decorative “estate” gate with the notable exception being that the timber is Iroko hardwood for extra durability and colour. The Blenheim 5 bar timber gate stands with a top rail height of 3 feet and seven inches is available in left hand and right hand variants with widths from 3ft through to 12ft that can be used singularly or in any combination for vehicle, pedestrian or mixed access.
